BISSELL Pet Foundation, a national animal welfare organization dedicated to ending pet homelessness, is bringing holiday hope to homeless pets by prompting a national call for adoption with its Empty the Shelters™ reduced-fee adoption event Dec. 7-17.  Beatice Humane Society will participate along with more than 400 shelters in 45 states. To help deserving shelter pets find loving homes, BISSELL Pet Foundation sponsors reduced adoption fees of $50 or less per cat or dog during each nationwide event.

Beatrice Humane Society will be hosting the following reduced-fee adoption event:

• Beatrice Humane Society will participate Dec. 7-17  at 534 S. Reed St. Beatrice, NE 68310, offering $50 adoption fees for all cats AND kittens and all dogs six months and older (Puppies are excluded).
  • Hours of operation: M: 12-6pm, T: 12-6pm, W: Closed, Th: 12-6pm, F: 12-6pm Sa: 12-6pm, Su: 12-3pm
• Beatrice Humane Society will host reduced fee popup events in Lincoln on the following dates and times: Dogs, cats and kittens will be available on site during these times, all adoption fees will be $50, only during the following times:
  • December 7: Petco 5450 S 56th St- 9am-11:30am
  • December 8: Petco 4701 O St- 9am-11:30am
  • December 14: PetSmart 5200 N 27th St 12pm-2pm
  • December 15: PetSmart 2801 Pine Lake Rd N 12pm-2pm

All interested adopters should fill out applications in advance of arriving at our shelter or popup events. Applications can be submitted by clicking on the animals photo below and selecting the orange "interested in this animal" button. This will link to Petango, an external site, but will ensure the smoothest adoption process. Adoption applications are not animal specific, so no need to apply for multiple animals.

Pets available at Nebraska Pkwy Petco with $50 Adoption Fee on 12/7 from 9am-11:30am

Pets available at North 27th PetSmart with $50 Adoption Fee on 12/14 from 12pm-2pm

Pets available at South 27th PetSmart with $50 Adoption Fee on 12/14 from 12pm-2pm

If there is a specific dog you wish to see at one of the Pop-up Adoption events, please fill out an application and call us (402-228-9100) before the end of the business day the night before the event. This will allow us time to determine if they are a candidate for that event medically and behaviorally and prepare appropriate space for them!
